Protect vulnerable components
Describe exposed terminals, displays, shafts and fragile fittings. Request packing photos and identify items needing moisture or impact protection. Keep loose accessories in labelled packages connected to the main equipment reference.
Prepare technical records
Collect available data sheets, serial-number lists and product documentation. Tell the team about batteries, magnets or liquids contained in equipment. Product-specific import checks and transport acceptance need to be resolved against the actual model and destination.

Resolve a specification mismatch before release
If a nameplate photo differs from the order, put both records in a discrepancy log and ask the buyer and supplier to resolve it. Similar appearance does not establish the same model or electrical suitability.
- Keep the nameplate photo with the equipment reference and photo date.
- Identify the differing field, such as the model or stated voltage, without silently changing supplier data.
